In her studio at Seine-et-Marne found to the North-East of Paris, 20 minutes from the airport Roissy Charles de Gaulle, Dominique creates her fashion accessories with love and care. Each creation is entirely hand embroidered (Needlepoint, Needlework, Crochet of Luneville).
She works alone, wrapped up and enveloped by the calm needed to produce each of her unique articles.
Born from a family of master-craftsmen, all her childhood years were spent in an appreciation of aesthetics, harmonising colours, and learning the refinement and substance of each material used for her crafts.
As a little girl, she collected photos of wedding dresses and magazine cuttings of creations designed by the fashion houses. Photos and cuttings which provided the background for her dreams.
Her favourite games : disguising herself… and becoming princess or… bride!
Her two grand-mothers taught her needlework, crochet, embroidery; her mother taught her sewing and dressmaking. Then, during the 80's she studied lacemaking and pillow lace.
Inspired by the world of fashion, the dresses through the ages (with a preference for the Middle Ages) the style of the old empire, the creations of the 20's and the looks from the 50's and 60's, she finally returned to embroidering the evening dresses she first admired during her childhood.
Completing her professional studies at the Lesage Haute Couture Embroidery School (Paris), she decided to continue her dream by creating fashion accessories and her embroidered jewels and "gems".
Dominique especially enjoys creating delicate evening handbags and sublime clasps for brides - each unique and fashioned to seduce, charm and sometimes impress.
The handbag becomes an "objet d'art" - a living artistic creation - a unique statement!
Each article born from Dominique includes a part of her personality, and reflects the fantasy of the instant and the moment of poetry during the creation…
